Buying guide
Twenty-two products sit here, and the differences that matter are smaller than the specs suggest. Capacity sets the headline. 5000 mAh packs are pocket-sized and top up a phone once, 10000 mAh is the sweet spot for a day of travel, and 20000 mAh suits heavy users away from a socket for days. Expect only 60 to 70 percent of the label capacity to reach your phone, because conversion losses are unavoidable, so 10000 mAh is two to three charges. Charging method decides the model. MagSafe banks like the YESIDO YP45 and YP91, the Anker Nano and the Green Lion Monaco magnet onto an iPhone 12 or newer and charge wirelessly. Wired models like the YESIDO YP46 and Green Lion Madrid 10 use USB-C Power Delivery and work with any phone. Built-in-cable designs like the CANYON OnPower 101, the VOLTME Hypercore 10K and the YESIDO YP94 save carrying a lead, and the YP87 doubles as a handheld game console. Two entries are not phone banks: the Soundcore P41i is a pair of true wireless earbuds whose case holds a battery, and the BSON power station is a mains unit with AC, car and solar inputs for camping. Two UAE realities matter more. Summer reaches 45 to 50 degrees, and a lithium pack left in a parked car degrades fast, so keep it shaded, not in the glovebox. Every pack charges over USB-C from a Type G three-pin 230 V adapter, and higher-wattage models need a matching charger for full speed.
Frequently asked questions
How many full charges will a 10000 mAh power bank give me?
Usually two to three, depending on your phone's screen brightness, signal strength and how much you use it while it is charging. The label capacity is measured at the cell, and around a third is lost to voltage conversion and heat before it reaches your phone, so a 10000 mAh pack delivers closer to 6000 to 7000 mAh in practice. Smaller phones with 4000 to 5000 mAh batteries will get more charges than larger phones with 7000 mAh cells. If you want two guaranteed full days away from a socket, go for 20000 mAh, either the Green Lion Monaco Magsafe 20000 mAh or the YESIDO YP94 with built-in cables.
Can I take a power bank on a plane, and does 20000 mAh cause problems?
Both 10000 mAh and 20000 mAh packs are fine on UAE-bound flights. A 20000 mAh pack at 3.7 V is about 74 Wh, under the 100 Wh per-battery limit most airlines enforce, so it travels in cabin baggage without special approval. Spare lithium batteries must never go in checked luggage, and the pack itself has to stay in your hand luggage with the terminals protected, so a magnetic MagSafe model stuck to a phone inside a checked bag is a common problem. Keep the printed capacity visible on the outside of the device, and expect security to ask about it.
Should I buy a MagSafe bank, a built-in-cable bank or a plain USB-C bank?
Pick based on what you charge. MagSafe models, the YESIDO YP45 and YP91, the YESIDO YP29, the Anker Nano and the Green Lion Monaco, need a magnetic phone, in practice iPhone 12 or newer, and they leave the USB-C port free for a second device. Built-in-cable models such as the CANYON OnPower 101, the VOLTME Hypercore 10K and the YESIDO YP94 suit anyone who keeps losing or damaging a separate lead. The plain USB-C banks, the YESIDO YP46, the Green Lion Trave-X, Norwich and Madrid 10, are the safest all-round choice for phones that are not magnetic. For charging two things at once, multi-port options like the Green Lion 8-in-1 hub and the CANYON OnPower 101 do it, but output is shared, so each device sees less than the headline wattage.
How long does delivery take, how can I pay, and what about returns?
Delivery is a flat 12 AED on orders below 150 AED and free from 150 AED, arriving in one to two business days. You can pay by card, in instalments with Tabby or Tamara, or cash on delivery. Returns are accepted within seven calendar days of receipt, so test the capacity and the charging speed as soon as it lands; in most cases the customer covers return shipping.
